Griff the Drifter

Nine-year old Griffin Evans, “Griff the Drifter”, is a fourth grader at Trumann Elementary School. He got his nickname from his good friend, John Barnett. When Griffin was a toddler, he attended many rodeos for his sister to compete, and he would visit all the trailers. He never met a stranger, so John started calling him “Drifter,” instead of Griffin. He has been playing the guitar and taking lessons with his teacher, Patrick Dailey, since he was 5 years old. Over the last two years, Griffin has played with The Arkansas Brothers, The Dukes of Hoggard, Christian Lee & Big Boy Changes, Joe Bateman, LAN LAW, Larry Don Wilbanks, the Drover Cowboy Church worship team, and Vikki McGee and Sonny Campbell.

Elvis Tribute Artist “Zaden J”

Eleven-year-old

Eleven-year-old Zaden Gallion of Jonesboro started his journey as an Elvis tribute artist a little over a year ago. The young Elvis fan now has his own lineup of performances, including the Rock N Roll Cafe near Graceland, Graceland pavilion, Jerry Lawler’s Bar and Grill, and local festivals. He has future shows in the works, including Downtown After Hours in Paragould this October. The feedback from the crowd is part of what Gallion enjoys about performing. When it comes down to it, his favorite part is “knowing I’m trying to keep Elvis’ legacy alive and making people happy.”

GREASY TREE

Greasy Tree started as a blues infused power group with excess hair and even more attitude. Cameron Roberts’ scorching guitar riffs/vocals, dynamic beats/vocals from drummer Creed Slater, Josh Copeland’s southern rock riffs, powerful harmonies from Caitlyn Grey Finley, and gritty bass tones/vocals from Red Dorton create a chemical reaction of Rock and Soul that is bound to take you back to your roots. The band itself might be dripping with fresh grease, but these artists are well seasoned. The trio met through other local projects and eventually joined forces on a European tour in 2015 with Teenage Head Music. Their dynamic was undeniable, and they quickly turned their attention toward Greasy Tree.
